Have a Starling Christmas
/Christmas often comes early for choirs. During the long, hot summer we experienced here in the UK this year, we were arranging White Christmas while 34 degree rays of sunshine shone through the windows of Starling HQ. But now the dark evenings are upon us and the temperature is decidedly wintry, it feels a bit more legitimate to think about Christmas!
Last Saturday 24th November we performed at the Ideal Home Show Christmas. Entertaining shoppers as they filled the halls of Olympia looking for treats, gifts and homewares, we had an absolute blast showcasing our festive music on the Christmas Bandstand. From Santa Baby to Winter Wonderland, the tunes were perfectly matched by twinkly lights and Christmas trees galore, not to mention the sound of bells…
You can hear more of that music this coming Saturday 1st December when our choirs perform in the beautiful acoustic of St Gabriel’s Church in Pimlico in our concert Winter Song. Just a handful of tickets remain, so grab one before they go!
Then we’re off to Ghent to introduce one of Belgium’s most charming towns to the Starling sound!
We’ll be performing at the iconic Christmas market, along with other spots around the city, and indulging in the finest chocolate this medieval town has to offer.
Check back in a couple of weeks for a full run down of the trip here on our blog!
Then it’s time to carol! Every year we lend our voices to good causes and will be singing in aid of Health Poverty Action and the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice this year. Full details on these and all our performances can be found on our What’s On page.
Come and say hello if you make it to one of our performances!
